Just a regular sit down mexican food ay great value. Friendly staff and a solid experience. They offer pitchers of margaritas that are a little too sweet IMO. Chimichanga is my benchmark and it passes with flying colors.

Decided to try this restaurant since we haven't been there in like 5+ years. They seated us quickly and the wait staff is very nice and prompt. The food comes out very quick. There was a large group of about 10-12 people and their food came out as fast as our did with a table of 5. Now the food is just "okay" I ordered the deluxe enchilada plate that came with 3 rolled enchiladas, rice and beans. I had high expectations since it was a Mexican restaurant but the sauce tasted like the kind u get from a can at Walmart. The rice and beans were pretty good. My husband ordered a large menudo that actually was a good serving. There was lots of meat and the flavor was great! My only complaint would be it would of tasted better if they gave bread instead of tortillas so it was easier to soak up the juice.
For my kids we ordered the shrimp and fries which was actually a pretty good portion. We ordered 2 shrimp plates and had more than enough to split between all 3 kids. We did order sopapillas to go that were nice and fluffy. Our bill came out to $61.00 before tip (kids drank water and we drank lemonade) .... pretty pricy for just okay food. Still looking for that great authentic Mexican restaurant.

I've lived in the north area for alot of years and this restaurant has been here for many years . I would have to say 20+.? I've probably eaten here 10+ times and was really surprised to see I've never checked in or left a review so here it is.
At one time I used to come on the weekend for their Carnitas as they only made them only on the weekends but as thier menu shows it's now an every day menu item.
As with the restaurant thier menu has grown and have pretty much any type of of Mexican entree you could want.
Thier appetizers are a little limited unless your just wanting nachos but you will get your fill when your meal comes.
Nice restaurant they have an addition that is inclosed but does get a draft as the heater kicks off and on so I recommend sitting inside unless the weather is nice .
Parking in front is sparse but plenty of parking acr6the street which they made upon thier remodel work.
It's a little out of the way but if you know the area you'll know the general area
But if your looking for a reliable Mexican food fix I would recommend this restaurant lots to choose from and plenty to fill your size of appetite at any given time.

This place was insanely busy, and we were seated immediatel..  Service was crazy fast, and our food out within 5 minutes and hot.  I honestly wondered what the kitchen has because it is a smooth oiled machine.  A crazy big menu, but what I had was flavorful and my husband was happy.  I had the Carnitas Tacos with Avocados #40, and my husband had another combo.    Is it the best Mexican food I had, no (sorry, that was Chef Bayless' places in Chicago)  Will I be back, probably..   Glad we tried.

The food here is muy delicioso. The salsa is perfect. Weekends tend to be extremely busy so expect a long wait! The portions are a bit lame but the food is consistently good. Chuletas de puerco is my favorite. The combination platters are good and creative.
